“Everyone Looks Great in Training Camp” “Won’t Make the Team”: Fans React As Shedeur Sanders’ Cleveland Practice Moment Goes Viral

Shedeur Sanders’ NFL journey did not start on the note he had expected, as most analysts and fans projected him to be a top 5 pick during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Shockingly, Shedeur not only slid out of the first round but also ended up going undrafted until the fifth round, eventually being picked by the Cleveland Browns as the 144th overall pick.

The ex-Colorado star made sure to not be impacted by what happened during the draft and has kept his best foot forward during the rookie’s mini camp as well as the training camp.

The clip of Shedeur Sanders throwing to rookie WR Luke Floriea went viral and drew mixed reactions from some fans:

“He won’t make the team,” one fan added.

“Why do most say this. Nonsense. Everyone looks great in training camp. Even Aaron Rodgers did last year,” Another fan added.

“Shedeur is the best QB on the Browns roster. Say what you want about his attitude or his father, I’m talking pure talent. No one close to him. And he plays a ton of games in college so he’s NFL ready too,” Another fan made a case for the ex-Colorado star.

“Am I the only one – especially for the ppl of Cleveland – that hopes this kid is in the running for ROTY at season’s end? Make Brown’s Football great again!” another fan expressed their wish.

“Impressive with no pass rush, pats on the ball, throws a routine pass that his WR has to dive for. Got to think rest of the NFL shi*ting their shorts right now,” another fan added.

“WTF are you talking about? A Dart, with no pressure, and no DB, and the receiver had to go to the dirt to get it. You have an eye! Not for talent, but an eye!” another fan commented.

CFB Analyst Compares Shedeur Sanders to Brock Purdy

During a recent appearance on the Orange and Brown Talk Podcast, Mary Kay Cabot shared her thoughts on Shedeur Sanders’ chances of getting the QB1 role with the Cleveland Browns for the 2025 NFL season. She shared how Shedeur needs to prove his self-acclaimed “legendary” title and that it will be the best-case scenario for him if he pulls something similar to what Brock Purdy did with the 49ers.

Cabot further shared that the Browns are willing to give Shedeur Sanders a chance if he can prove himself, except for the first six games when they face the toughest competition.

“But if he can do all of those things then, and he can establish that he has some of those late round pick, Brock Purdy like tendencies, then they’re going to be really, onto something here.” (20:23)

The Browns will face the Cincinnati Bengals as their first matchup of the season.
