National Signing Day is coming with all its glory to EA Sports CFB 26, with the video game publisher set to allow fans to play one of the best pranks the event has to offer. It’s not uncommon for prospects to play with everyone’s nerves by fainting or putting on the hat of one school just to pivot at the last moment to their actual school.

On Thursday, the video game publisher shared a video of this new dynamic in CFB 26, and fans had mixed opinions.
“Good to know they put this much effort into something unnecessary but couldn’t add more positions,” Said one fan.
“We don’t care bout this sh*t make the gameplay better,” Said another.
“The alabama hat-fake into a Kent state commitment will be generational,” Joked someone else.
Some fans don’t seem convinced by the look of the game.
“Why do these players look 30 something years old,” Asked a fan.
“Idk why it’s so hard for EA to make good face skins. Why he look 30 man 🤦🏾♂️,” asked another person.
Some did seem to appreciate the dynamic:
“This is wild,” Wrote one fan.
“Throws the last Alabama hat and commits to COMMUNITY COLLEGE crowd goes WILD,” said someone amusingly.
Top 10 quarterbacks in EA Sports CFB 26
EA Sports recently released a series of top tens in CFB 26, many of which are ruled by the SEC. The Southern conference seems to be the favorite of the publisher, with almost half of the top 25 most difficult stadiums to play at and the top-rated teams in the game from the SEC.
Add to that the list of the top 10 quarterbacks in the game. Four of the 10 best-rated signal-callers in the game are from the SEC, which is two more than the ACC and the Big Ten. However, the winner of the top 10 in this case is the ACC, with Clemson’s Cade Klubnik being the best-rated quarterback in the game.
- Cade Klubnik, Clemson Tigers (ACC) – 92
- Garrett Nussmeier, Texas Longhorns (SEC) – 92
- Drew Allar, Penn State Nittany Lions (Big Ten) – 92
- Sam Leavitt, Arizona State Sun Devils (Big 12) – 91
- LaNorris Sellers, USC Trojans (Big Ten) – 91
- John Mateer, Oklahoma Sooners (SEC) – 91
- Carson Beck, Miami Hurricanes (ACC) – 91
- Blake Horvath, Navy Midshipmen (AAC) – 90
- Arch Manning, Texas Longhorns (SEC) – 90
- D.J. Lagway, Florida Gators (SEC) – 90
Interestingly, EA Sports has decided to depart from popular convention in CFB 26, with Arch Manning barely making the top 10, at the No. 9 spot. Manning is currently the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy in 2025, and while his closest rivals, Cade Klubnik and Garrett Nussmeier, are the No. 1 and No. 2 quarterbacks in the game, respectively.
