Arch Manning Shifts Focus: No NFL Talk, Just College Football

This offseason, conversations around Arch Manning were not just limited to college football. Several analysts explore when he will declare for the NFL draft. Whether it’d be after this season or he will return to the Longhorns for another season in 2026. However, the Longhorns quarterback put a stop to it.

At the Manning Passing Academy in Nicholls State, Manning made it clear he’s zoning in on his time at Texas, not speculating about the NFL Draft.

“I really don’t pay much attention to anyone and what they think besides my coaches, my parents and some close friends that will tell me the truth,” Manning said. “But I’m not worried about what other people think. I’m just going to go out there and have fun and play my game.”

Despite being the betting favorite for the 2026 Draft and the Heisman Trophy, Manning has remained grounded and is laser-focused on giving his best on the field.

Meanwhile, Alabama’s Ty Simpson also made waves at the camp. On3 reports he “drew rave reviews for his arm talent,” with scouts saying he looks like a first‑round arm after launching 55‑60 yard strikes.

Both Alabama and Texas haven’t announced their starting quarterbacks yet, but Simpson has a healthy edge over other QBs in Tuscaloosa room while Steve Sarkisian owes it to Manning to start him after he stayed loyal to the program for two years playing backup to Quinn Ewers.
