Deion Sanders beats Florida power schools for four-star cornerback Preston Ashley
Colorado has landed the commitment of four-star cornerback Preston Ashley. Ashley is ranked as top 24th safety in the class of 2026 by 247Sports. He’s also ranked as the 12th best recruit in the state of Mississippi, where he played at Brandon High School.
“Just the place of Boulder, and how great (Buffaloes cornerbacks) coach (Kevin) Mathis and (defensive coordinator and safeties) coach (Robert) Livingston are, and how they can put me in the place I want to be,” Ashley told 247Sports’ Adam Munsterteiger regarding his decision to join the Buffaloes.
This is a significant win for Deion Sander’s Colorado, considering they beat Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Arkansas, and Duke to get Ashley’s services.
