Collin Murray-Boyles NBA Draft Moment Gets Sweeter as Raptors Double Down Pick with Loving 4-Word Message

Collin Murray-Boyles was already riding high on expectations ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft but nothing struck the happy chord like hearing his name being called on Day 1. The Toronto Raptors, who picked Collin as the ninth overall pick, sent a clear message on Thursday, doubling down on what his induction means for them.

Following Day 1 of the draft, the Raptors made their love felt for Collin as they tweeted a picture of him in the past wearing a t-shirt with the Raptors’ logo.

They added a heartwarming caption, writing:

“It was always CMB,” followed by a heart emoji.

The four-word post from the Raptors’ official account confirmed what the organization sees in the South Carolina forward who has proved himself as a tough and interior-minded presence. Collin not only brings polish and physicality to the paint but is also known for operating in the mid-to-short range while thriving in tighter spaces.

Collin Murray-Boyles Reveals Big NBA Plans with Toronto Raptors

Collin Murray-Boyles is already thinking beyond the hardwood after being drafted by the Toronto Raptors and it involves the city’s most famous courtside presence.

“Seeing Drake rock my jersey? That would be amazing,” the 20-year-old forward said shortly after his selection on Wednesday night.

Collin, who starred at South Carolina with his inside scoring and physical presence, has his eyes set on the next phase of his basketball journey which includes earning the respect of both the franchise and its global ambassador.

After being asked how high that dream sits on his list, he said:

“I guess it is on the list. It’s going to obviously take a lot of work. I’m ready to work, ready to rep the city. So we’re going to see.”

The Raptors rookie expanded on the thought during a conversation with Amazon’s Taylor Rooks, laying out a lighthearted plan for his Toronto arrival.

“First thing I gotta do when I get to Toronto is post on my Instagram Story, put a Drake song in there and I’m going to @ him,” Murray-Boyles said with a laugh.

This marks the second straight Raptors lottery pick to make a public shoutout to the Grammy-winning artist. Drake has served as Toronto’s global ambassador since 2013 and before he wears the jersey, Collin Murray-Boyles intends to earn it.
