Former Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter had an incredible career with the Buffaloes before declaring for the 2025 NFL draft. During his time at Colorado, he became close with coach Deion Sanders, QB Shedeur Sanders and the rest of the Sanders family. As a result, it was not a surprise when he traveled back to Colorado in the offseason.
On Thursday night, a video was posted on X by the Change 7he Narrative X account. In the video, Hunter is getting some late-night fishing in with Deion Sanders Jr.
“Is Travis Hunter back at his other home spending time with his 2nd family aka Deion Sanders home lol? Via Deion Sanders Jr.”

In the video, Hunter and Deion Sanders Jr. are looking at a frog that is balancing on one of their fishing poles. Sanders is taking the video and puts Hunter on camera, telling him to touch the frog. Hunter does not touch it but instead nudges it with a different fishing pole, getting it to move.
Travis Hunter Spends Time With His Colorado Friends Before His First NFL Season
While Travis Hunter is having fun spending time with Deion Sanders Jr. and some of his other friends from Colorado, he has remained busy this offseason. The former Colorado star is preparing for the first season of his NFL career. He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the second pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Hunter is now heading to a Jaguars team that has failed to live up to expectations in recent years. When they drafted QB Trevor Lawrence with the first pick in the 2021 NFL draft, there was a lot of hope in the fan base that the team would improve quickly. It did not take long for the team to make the playoffs, as they qualified in 2022, Lawrence’s second season. They even won a playoff game, reaching the Divisional round.
However, the team has failed to live up to expectations the past two years after a strong 2022 season, missing the playoffs both times. This past year, the Jaguars regressed significantly, only winning four games. They will be hoping that with the addition of two-way star Travis Hunter that they can reverse their fortunes in 2025. It remains to be seen if Hunter will be able to play on both offense and defense in the NFL.
