Clemson Just Got a Massive Endorsement From Two CFB Legends Heading Into 2025

The Clemson Tigers are looking for more in 2025 after they won the ACC and earned a trip to the College Football Playoff last season.

Respective members of the media, such as a certain national champion head coach and a former Heisman-winning running back, believe Dabo Swinney and Co. can accomplish great things this Fall.

Urban Meyer and Mark Ingram are Both High on Clemson in 2025

On a recent episode of The Triple Option, Fox college football announcers and analysts such as Rob Stone, Urban Meyer, and Mark Ingram chatted about the Clemson Tigers.

Both Meyer and Ingram believe the Tigers can win over 9.5 games as they look to contend for a national title.

“Todd McShay has six Clemson Tigers (being drafted in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft),” Meyer said. “They’re going to have a hell of a year and go deep into the Playoffs.”

Here is what Ingram had to say:

“I think (Cade Klubnik returning) is a huge reason why Clemson will hit the over on this mark…I think (Clemson is) in prime position to make a run at an ACC Championship…but also maybe make some noise in the College Football Playoff.”

Seeing as Meyer won three national titles in his career as a head coach, and seeing as Ingram was a national title and Heisman-winning player himself, it is hard to argue with these two.

Cade Klubnik’s Return Gives Clemson Hope

Quarterback Cade Klubnik returning for his senior season instead of going to the NFL means that he also believes in what this team can accomplish. His abilities as both a thrower and a runner make this Tigers offense hard to defend anywhere on the field.

The two-time ACC Championship Game MVP is coming off a career year in 2024 after throwing for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns while rushing for 463 yards and seven scores.

Simply put, if this wasn’t already Dabo Swinney’s team, it would be Klubnik’s based on his play over the last few seasons. Since taking over as full-time head coach in 2009, Swinney has guided the Tigers to 10 or more wins in 13 of his 16 seasons.
