‘Lmaooo Not a Parent Police’ – Fans Shred Podcaster Over Deion Sanders Criticism For Proud Dad Posts on Shedeur Sanders

The Cleveland Browns selected Shedeur Sanders with the 144th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Sanders went down quite a slide, as he was predicted to be picked in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft in his very early 20s. So, to say this was an unprecedented slide would be an understatement.

Nonetheless, Sanders has found his next home in Cleveland. His father, Coach Prime Deion Sanders, has been highlighting his son on social media and supporting him in just about any way you’d expect a father to. This drew some criticism from a podcaster, who fans proceeded to rip to shreds.

Deion Sanders Gets Heat From Podcaster, but Fans Destroy the Take

A podcaster recently tried to shame Deion Sanders on X, formerly known as Twitter, for celebrating Sanders, and college football fans and Cleveland fans shut it down fast.

Miles Johnson of “Real Talk With MJ” took to X to speak about how Deion is doing too much: “Unpopular opinion: Deion Sanders is doing too much posting every single highlight Shedeur Sanders has on social media. The Browns starting him, or making him QB2/QB3 won’t change by posting every single Shedeur highlight. Deion obviously means well… but he gotta relax” Johnson posts on X.

Many fans attacked Johnson in defense of Deion and Shedeur, standing up for Deion as a father. “Lmaoooo, not a parent police,” said one user.

I feel ya and I see that you’re trying to actually look out for the best interest of Shedeur, but no need to mute the father or his influence no matter what. Deion Sanders has the right to be proud of his family regardless of positioning in life. Let’s not take that away,” one user wrote.

Some weren’t as nice as another user commented: “The problem is you. Heavily invested in another man’s life. Let’s not forget he’s father first before he became a coach. What u want him to create fathers only page and a coach prime’s page lol” and “Dude STFU good lord. That man is a FATHER happy to see his children doing what they love. Maybe if your father loved you he’d post all the articles you’ve written.”

Overall, the fan consensus to the post seemed to be very heavily in favor of Deion and his support to his son, Shedeur.

Sanders is now competing for the Cleveland starting quarterback job with the former Super Bowl winner Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. We know that Sanders has a strong chance to light up the field in Cleveland at the next level.
