The Denver Broncos have one of the best cornerback rooms in the NFL, and they’ve added another one with the No. 20 pick of this year’s draft. Jahdae Barron was selected out of Texas in the first round of the draft, and it seems like he’s already making good impressions everywhere.
Yesterday was Mother’s Day, and the football world wasn’t exempt from celebrating the joys of motherhood. Several players showered praise on their mothers for the various roles they’ve played at different stages of their lives, and Barron wasn’t left out.

Ex-Texas DB Jahdae Barron Shares Heartfelt Message About His Mother After NFL Dreams Start To Unfold
It is every parent’s dream to live long enough for their wards to start achieving their dream and as Barron begins his NFL journey, he made it a point to recognize the impact his mother has in his life.

“So my mother, strongest woman in the world, even in Father’s Day, I tell her happy mother’s again, You know she gets two” He said. “She raised my two my two older brothers with me and then eventually she had three beautiful daughters.
“But my mum, she pushed me every single day which is just my saying she committed to the process, and whenever I got down, she made sure that she reminded me that I was staying true to what I said would do long after the mood has changed.
“She was committed, all those things that she did, people look at them as sacrifices. Everything she did, just running me around from boxing, training, basketball, football practice, it was all an investment. Like I said at the beginning of the interview, I’m gonna invest that and I’m gonna give her the world so she can just be a mother.”
It seems Barron has started his journey to realizing his dream on the right path, as Broncos head coach Sean Payton has only good words about him.
“It’s a prerequisite,” Broncos coach Sean Payton said when he was talking about tackling skills. “There are two things that make it difficult if we’re talking corners, nickels. Bad ball skills.”
“It’s tough because there’s no repercussions when you throw it their way. Then poor tacklers because offensively we can make them tacklers. It’s kind of like that’s one of the traits that you have to be able to check a box on.

“You can improve some guys, maybe, but this guy (Barron) anticipates. Again, it was… We had the watch, and we were in a room of eight, maybe, some of the scouts. I can’t recall, but there was this [moment] where we looked at each other and we were like, ‘Let’s keep watching more.’
“The more and more we watched, it was like, ‘All right. Let’s be quiet.’ So, tackling is important.”
