Fathers are always the ones who stand by their kids’ side when they are in trouble. However, in sports, we don’t always see enough of this practice. But two fathers consistently show 110% support for their kids, and it’s clear to everyone.
One is NBA legend LeBron James, whose unwavering support for Bronny James has been unmatched. While Bronny is still working to find his position in the G-League, LeBron defends his son, even when critics come his way.
And in college football, Deion Sanders does the same for his son, Shedeur Sanders, who boasts the highest completion percentage.

Deion Sanders Calls Out Steelers Head Coach Tomlin, Backs Shedeur’s Accuracy
Since the day Shedeur missed out on being drafted in the first round, Deion has put his all into defending his son from criticism. When a report claimed that Shedeur had a bad impression in his draft interview, Deion shot that down, calling it “a lie.
Before that, when an anonymous NFL quarterback coach called out Shedeur’s attitude, labeling him as “arrogant” and “brash,” Coach Prime didn’t hold back, firing back with, “We like to call that stuff out, though. I know who it is. You’re gonna make me call him out.”
Eventually, Shedeur was picked in the fifth round, 144th overall. But he actually deserves more than that. Many analysts believed that the Pittsburgh Steelers would select him early in the draft, possibly even within the top 10 picks. But they passed him. And it was the Cleveland Browns who finally picked him on Day 3.

Now that Shedeur has a team, will Coach Prime go silent? Not at all. He’s still doing what he does best—defending his son while subtly slamming Steelers coach Mike Tomlin.
In a recent Instagram story, Deion shared a post by MLFootball that said, “Highest completion % in CFB history.” He added his own caption: “In history, no one has ever been more efficient than Shedeur. Legendary.”
And he’s not wrong. Shedeur threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns last season, with an impressive 74.0% completion rate. Missing out on him was a big loss for many NFL teams.
Even before Coach Prime’s post, Deion Sanders Jr. was already throwing shade at Tomlin. After Tomlin called Shedeur’s visit to Pittsburgh a “normal pre-draft visit,” Deion Jr. posted a three-word response on Instagram: “You tell me.” Now, Coach Prime’s recent IG story adds another spark to the drama.
