Oregon opens their Pac-12 schedule with a game that, this time last season, they might not have considered the toughest challenge amongst their opening swathe of games. Having pulverized non-FBS opponent Portland State 81-7 to open the season, hammered Hawaii in Week 3, and left Lubbock with a win against a tough Texas Tech team, Colorado comes to Eugene.

Lanning’s barbed comments add a little needle to a game that is considerably more challenging for the Ducks than the responding 49-10 win last fall and than their 15-9 head-to-head advantage would suggest.
Meanwhile, it begins a difficult Pac-12 schedule that features trips to Washington and Utah and tough home dates with USC and Oregon State.

Colorado has just two seasons over .500 in the Pac-12 since 2010, and their attempts to become a nationally relevant entity begin with becoming a competitive force in their own conference. Deion Sanders‘ team travels to Oregon to open their final campaign in the Pac-12, wanting to prove that the close-fought win over Colorado State is a false representation of their ability.
