What Is Spencer Danielson’s Net Worth? Here’s What We Know

Spencer Danielson is one of college football’s most promising young head coaches. The 36-year-old led the Boise State Broncos to the College Football Playoff in 2024, as the first non-Power 4 “auto-bid” conference winner after breezing through the Mountain West undefeated in his first full year at the helm.

Now, Danielson has finalized a new contract that runs through the 2029 season. The deal doubles his salary to an average of $2.2 million per year. The deal totals nearly $11 million over five years and makes him the second-highest paid coach in the Mountain West behind UNLV’s Dan Mullen, whose contract is worth $3.5 million this year.

Spencer Danielson’s Net Worth: What We Know

Danielson took over the Broncos program last year following the firing of head coach Andy Avalos and led them to a Mountain West Championship. He signed on as full-time head coach on Dec. 3, 2023, on a five-year, $6.5 million contract.

Danielson’s new contract will start at $2 million this year, increasing by $100,000 over the course of five years. He’ll tie Utah State’s Bronco Mendenhall, who is set to make $2 million this year, as the second-highest paid Mountain West head coach.

Danielson’s original contract entitled him over $3 million in funds for his support staff, including $2.5 million for 10 assistant coaches. His buyout before Feb. 2026 was $2.5 million — over a third of his original contract. That number now increases with his new deal, according to KTVB’s Jay Trust.

According to Trust, the rest of Danielson’s contract, including his bonus structure, remains the same.
