4-Star WR Marquez Daniel Names Florida and Auburn as Co-Leaders in Recruitment

2026 four-star WR Marquez Daniel has already taken official visits to both Auburn and Florida. He is scheduled to visit additional schools in June as he continues to evaluate his top options.

According to On3, Daniel has not made a decision yet because both programs offer strong football traditions, compete in the SEC, and have impressed him with their coaching staff.

With Billy Napier at the helm, Florida is making a strong push to land Daniel. The Gators have emphasized their offensive system, aiming to feature top perimeter playmakers.

Florida may hold a slight edge thanks to its tradition of producing elite wide receivers and competing in an extremely tough conference, which has strengthened the team.

His relationship with the coaching staff has also deepened. They have made it clear that he would be an immediate contributor to the offense.

Auburn’s skill in raising star athletes and giving them early opportunities has kept the Tigers firmly in the race. Additionally, its proximity to Daniel’s hometown and its strong recruiting pitch make it just as compelling.

Because of his size and athletic skills, Daniel is targeted by multiple SEC schools. Both Florida and Auburn are expected to utilize his ability to win contested catches and stretch defenses. Thanks to his knack for catching tough passes in tight coverage, he fits well within both programs’ offensive systems.
