College football Week 5 kicks off on Thursday night with a standalone game that draws all eyes. The Army Black Knights travel to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Temple Owls in a tale of two teams with contrasting fortunes.

Jeff Monken’s Black Knights have steamrolled over every opponent they’ve faced through four weeks, compiling a 3-0 record that includes two conference wins over the Florida Atlantic Owls and Rice Owls. A victory over a trio of Owls would give Army their first 4-0 start since 2021.

Unfortunately for Temple, that kind of success hasn’t been easy to come by. Stan Drayton’s seat continues to get a little warmer with every passing week after three straight defeats to start the season. The Owls have already tasted defeat to a service academy after losing to Navy in Week 2. That said, a convincing win over Utah State in Week 4 could be the start of a turnaround.

The two teams combined for 92 points in their Week 4 clashes, so this could be a high-scoring affair to watch out for. Tune in to ESPN at 7:30 p.m. ET to catch the all-AAC affair. The network also has the Friday night clash between Virginia Tech and Miami, while showcasing two critical Big 12 games between Oklahoma State and Kansas State, and Arizona and Utah.
